Marshal Software Launches Latest Version of WebMarshal
Internet Access Control
Marshal Software today announced the release of WebMarshal 2.5. WebMarshal is a proxy-based Internet Access Control product, enforcing an organization's Web usage policy at the network gateway.
WebMarshal works like a Customs officer at an International Airport, controlling Web content entering or leaving an organization at the electronic gateway to the Internet. The product features Marshal's Textcensor lexical analysis technology, allowing access categories to be created and updated locally for each installation. WebMarshal delivers a complete solution for enforcing corporate acceptable use standards and security policy for Web usage, without any ongoing subscription costs.
This version of WebMarshal is focused on enhancements for integration with a wider range of network environments. New features include:
"WebMarshal continues to mature, based on input from our customers," said Marshal Software product marketing manager, Eric Freeman. "The new features in version 2.5 will appeal to companies servicing public Web kiosks, and those using Novell to manage their internal networks. These features greatly expand WebMarshal's application and provide substantial added value to existing clients."
