Group Policy changes are not being reported after rebooting a Microsoft Windows 2003 Domain Controller.

cause
WMI on the 2003 Domain Controller is not notifying the subscriber when the server has been rebooted.

fix

This issue is addressed by Group Policy Guardian Version 1.6 Hotfix 42438. Installing Hotfix 42438 addresses the following issues:

• Gracefully handles Domain Controller restarts. If you are not receiving events from a restarted Microsoft Windows 2003 Domain Controller, install this hotfix.

To install this hotfix, run the GPG16_42438.exe file on computers with a Group Policy Guardian Server or Collector.

This hotfix creates or replaces the following files on your GPG Server and Collector:

GPG Server files:

•  \Service\faProviders.dll

GPG Collector files:

•  \Service\faProviders.dll
