Follow the steps below to enter the license key for VigilEnt Security Manger (VSM):

 

VSM 3.0

  1. Click Start | Programs | VigilEnt Security Manager | VigilEnt Security Manager Configuration Utility.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Copy the license key from the license key file (using ctrl+c) and  paste the key (using ctrl+v) into the 'License Key' field.  Another option is to simply type the key in to the 'License Key' field.
  4. Stop and restart the VigilEnt Core Services service located in the Service Control Manager.  To launch the 'Service Control Manager', click Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Services.

 

VSM 4.0 and 4.1

  1. Click Start | Programs | VigilEnt | VigilEnt Security Server \ Configuration Utility
  2. Click on the Licenses tab
  3. Copy the license key from the license key file (using ctrl+c) and paste the key (using ctrl+v) into the VSM License Key field.
  4. Stop and restart the VigilEnt Security Services service located in the Service Control Manager.  To launch the 'Service Control Manager', click Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Services.

 

The new license key will now be in effect.
