8.7 Advisor Reports

Crystal Reports Server is the reporting tool that is integrated with Sentinel for viewing Advisor reports. Advisor reports enable you to view and analyze the Advisor data, such as Recent Successful Attacks or Top 10 attacks.

8.7.1 Generating the Advisor Reports

  1. Install and configure Crystal Reports Server software for Sentinel 6.1.

  2. Publish Advisor Reports to the Crystal Reports Server.

  3. Configure the Advisor URL in the Admin > Crystal Reports Server Configuration window.

8.7.2 Viewing the Advisor Reports

Viewing the Advisor Reports in Crystal Reports Server

  1. Log in to Crystal Reports Server by providing valid credentials.

  2. Navigate to Folders > Sentinel Reports.

  3. Select the folder that contains Advisor reports.

  4. Select the report that you want to view, then click Preview.

  5. Specify the database username, password, and the required report parameters.

    The selected Advisor report is displayed.

Viewing the Advisor Reports in the Sentinel Control Center

  1. In the Sentinel Control Center, click the Advisor tab.

    The Advisor report templates are displayed in the navigation pane.

  2. Select the Advisor report template that you want to view, then click the Create Report icon in the toolbar.

  3. Specify the database username, password, and the required report parameters in the Web page.

    The selected Advisor report is displayed.
