2.1 Installation Requirements

This section explains the requirements for installing SSPR.

2.1.1 System Requirements

  • 512 MB Java heap memory

  • 1 GB hard disk

2.1.2 Supported Platforms

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit and 64-bit)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (64-bit)

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 or later (32-bit and 64-bit)

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.2 or later (64-bit)

2.1.3 Supported Browsers

  • Mozilla Firefox 30 and later

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or later (only for the main page)

    NOTE:Configuration Editor does not work on Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0. So, with Internet Explorer 8.0 you cannot modify the configuration settings but, you can access the SSPR main page.

  • Google Chrome 36 and later

  • Internet Explorer 10 or later (for configuring the directories)

2.1.4 Supported LDAP Directories

  • NetIQ eDirectory

  • Active Directory

  • Oracle Directory Server

NOTE:SSPR does not support the AD Global catalog services. Instead, you can configure multiple profiles for different domains to represent the data repository for each domain. For more information about creating multiple profiles, see Section 5.0, Configuring LDAP and Policy Profiles.

2.1.5 Supported Databases

  • Microsoft SQL Server

  • Oracle

2.1.6 Supported Application Servers

  • Java JDK 1.7 or later

  • Apache Tomcat 6 or 7. Other Java Application Servers are not supported.
