Log in to the search initiator as a user in the administrator role.
Click Search Setup in the toolbar.
Select the Search Targets tab.
A list of search target servers is displayed under the Search Targets list.
Click the Edit link for the search target server for which you want to modify the details., then edit the information.
Do not change the IP address unless the IP address of the search target server has actually changed. The Edit page is not intended to allow you to change this target server entry to be a different search target server. To add a new target server, see Section 18.2.2, Using the Administrator Credentials to Add a Search Target Server. If you accidentally change the IP address or DNS name to a different server, change it back to the correct server, or authentication of search requests fails.
(Optional) To change the proxy role on the target server as necessary:
Click View/Change.
Log in to the target server.
Select a proxy role, then click OK.
Click Save.
