35.0 Allowing Exceptions in the Web Console

Select Your_ID > Settings > Exceptions

You must have an Administrator role to perform this action.

You can specify whether Web console users can create an exception that includes multiple policy templates. If allowed, users with appropriate permissions can create, edit, delete, and change the enable or approval status for this batch method of creating exceptions.

Alternatively, if you do not allow users to use the batch method, the following conditions apply:

  • If some exceptions already exist or are created in the Windows console, users can continue to see these exceptions in the associated assessment reports and in Utilities > Exceptions. However, users cannot modify or disable those exceptions.

  • Users always have the ability to create and exceptions from within an assessment report.

NOTE:When you change this setting, you must restart the Core Services service.
