3.0 Installing the Driver Files

The PUM driver is a Java-based driver and can be run on the Identity Manager engine or on a Remote Loader server.

For installation of the Identity Manager engine and the Remote Loader (required to run the driver on a non-Identity Manager engine), see “Installing Identity Manager” in the Identity Manager 4.0.2 Integrated Installation Guide.

You can download the PUM driver from the Identity Manager 4.0.2 Advanced Edition & Standard Edition e-Software Media Kit Web site. The files needed to install the driver are bundled in the NIdM_Driver_4.0.2_NPUM.zip file. The zipped file contains the following:

You can use iManager to extend the eDirectory schema for PUM, pum.sch. For more information, see the NetIQ iManager Administration Guide.

  • On Linux: You can install the driver files by installing novell-DXMLnpum.rpm.

  • On Windows: Copy NPUM_api.jar and NPUMDriverShim.jar to the <Installation_Path\NDS\lib\> folder.
