For Sentinel Log Manager to work effectively on the VMware server, you need to install VMware Tools. VMware Tools is a suite of utilities that enhances the performance of the virtual machine’s operating system. It also improves management of the virtual machine. To log in to the appliance Web console and initialize the software:
Open a Web browser and log in to https://<IP address>:8443. The Sentinel Log Manager Web page is displayed.
The IP address of the appliance is displayed on the appliance console after the installation completes and the server restarts.
You can configure the Sentinel Log Manager appliance for data storage and data collection. For more information, see the Sentinel Log Manager 1.2.2 Administration Guide.
