3.9 Technical Considerations for September 2011 Patch Release

The following technical considerations or new features apply to the September 2011 Patch Release for Operations Center version 5.0:

3.9.1 DName Modification for EMC SMARTS Objects

The DName structure for EMC SMARTS adapter elements has been modified for the support of multiple domains. After patch installation, you must recreate any links to existing EMC SMARTS objects from the Services hierarchy or in BSCM definitions.

3.9.2 Paging Feature Disabled in the Operations Center Dashboard

The Alarms portlet configuration option to paginate alarms has been removed because of performance issues.

3.9.3 Severity Mappings for NetIQ AppManager Adapter

The severity mappings for the NetIQ AppManager adapter have changed to more efficiently match the AppManager console. The following severity mappings now apply:

OK	Diagnostic
OK	OK

3.9.4 AppManager Operations Portal Integration Reverts to Dashboard Default Theme

If a user closes the Web browser window or the browser tab without logging out of the AppManager Operations Portal first, the application might revert back to the Novell default theme the next time the AppManager Operations Portal is accessed.
