To install the driver using an installation wizard in GUI format, see Section 2.3, Installing the driver using Guided Process.
To create and configure the driver, install the driver shim.
The files needed to install the driver are located in the installation directory of the NIdM_Driver_4.0.2_GroupWise2014.zip file.
The installation program guides you through driver shim installation. You can run the installation in the GUI mode only.
To install the driver, perform the following steps:
Download the NIdM_Driver_4.0.2_GroupWise2014.zip file from the NetIQ download site.
Unzip the NIdM_Driver_4.0.2_GroupWise2014.zip file on your computer.
Depending on your platform, run the appropriate installation file.
Linux: ./install_linux.bin
Windows: install.exe
NOTE:If you are installing the driver remotely, stop the Remote Loader service before starting the installation. If you are installing the driver locally, the installer takes care of stopping and starting eDirectory.
Download the driver packages from the Package Update channel.
Download the packages with version 3.0 for creating a new driver and packages with version 2.5 for upgrading an existing driver to GroupWise 2014.
