2.3 Installing the driver using Guided Process

This section describes how to perform a silent install of the driver. A silent installation requires no interaction during the installation and can save your time, especially when you install on more than one server.

You must create the following parameter values in the .properties file:

  1. For Identity Manager server, create a properties file with the following contents:

    USER_INPUT_RESULTS=Meta directory server
    EDIR_RESTART=Yes

  2. For Remote Loader, create a properties file with the following content:

    USER_INPUT_RESULTS=Remote Loader

  3. Run the installer with the following command on all environments:

                <installer - exe or bin file > -i silent -f <properties file path>
