NetIQ brings you a powerful tool called Audit, Compliance & Data Intelligence (ACDI) designed for identity and access management. ACDI provides a unified console for all monitoring requirements, eliminating the need to deal with multiple tools to measure and optimize application performance. ACDI is built on top of OpenSearch, an open-source search and analytics suite that equips you with fast, automated, and contextualized information about the health and availability of your entire application environment.
ACDI is built to cater to the needs of complex organizations, offering a 360-degree view of the environment, real-time forensic analysis of all data (current and past), customizable reports, and automation of evidence processes. ACDI assists in mitigating IAM challenges by providing audit ability, evidence, and performance monitoring of IAM-related data. It aims to improve compliance, reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance security within the Identity Management environment through real-time dashboards, understandable reports, and the ability to view and compare historical data.
Managing digital identities and ensuring robust cybersecurity can be complicated. ACDI is a perfect complement to NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager. It assists cybersecurity managers, IAM engineers, and system administrators in staying informed and taking timely action to maintain robust cybersecurity. Avoid compliance fines and data breach costs. Streamline your tasks, save time, and ensure compliance and secure data.
ACDI provides a wide range of capabilities, including:
ACDI’s dashboards transform your complex and high-volume analytical, operational and strategic data into visual representations that are easier to understand. Using visual elements like charts, graphs, or maps to represent data, these dashboards help you quickly grasp trends, view key metrics, explore data, and gain real-time application insights.
Predefined dashboards provides an overview of activity in your Identity Manager engine. Health and metrics dashboards aid in identifying and diagnosing complex application performance issues.
The search queries and filters applied to the dashboard offer a fast and easy way to navigate your logs. You can also use the Dashboard Query language (DQL) to create more advanced queries. For more information about dashboards, see Section 6.0, Using Dashboards.
The reports contain critical business information about various aspects of your Identity Manager setup. This includes information collected from Identity Vaults and managed systems such as Active Directory or SAP. ACDI offers predefined report definitions for generating reports. You can use them as is, or customize them to suit the requirements of your organization. You can also create new reports from scratch. These reports are generated using data collected by ACDI drivers, ACDI monitors, and Workflow monitor packages, and snapshot data stored in the system. You can export the report results as CSV, XLSX, or PDF files and download them for further processing using external applications.
ACDI reports enables you to audit and monitor data and events in your directory. You can also schedule report generation as needed. For more information about reports, see Section 7.0, Using Reports.
The ACDI’s snapshot service takes snapshots of eDirectory every 24 hours. Between these snapshots, there are millions of events that reflect changes in objects and their attributes. ACDI creates a timeline of these snapshots and events, which can be used to monitor changes made to the object over time. The history browser allows users to step back into the history of an object and review its status at a specific point in time.
Additionally, you can generate reports based on these snapshots. For more information about time machine, see Section 8.0, Using Time Machine.
