Time Machine displays the status of an LDAP object at different points in time. You can choose a source for the object, which is eDirectory by default, and specify the time interval for capturing the snapshots. Based on the interval, the Time Machine creates a timeline of the snapshots, which you can use to track the changes made to the object over time.
After creating a timeline, you can use the History Browser option to perform the following actions:
Search for an object, view detailed information about that object, and changes made to its attributes.
View audit events in the timeline if enabled.
Use the Object Compare tool to compare snapshots and audit events of individual objects at various times, allowing you to see the differences.
Export the state of an object from any time in history in CSV or LDIF file format.
