25.1 Checklist for Installing Designer

Before beginning the installation, NetIQ recommends that you review the following steps:

Checklist Items

  1. Review product architecture information to learn about the interaction among Identity Manager components. For more information, see Designer for Identity Manager.

  1. Decide which servers you want to use for your Identity Manager components. For more information, see Recommended Installation Scenarios and Server Setup.

  1. Review the considerations for installing Designer to ensure that the computer meets the prerequisites. For more information, see Prerequisites for Installing Designer.

  1. Ensure that the computer on which you are installing Designer meets the specified software and hardware requirements. For more information, see System Requirements for Designer.

  1. (Conditional) For computers running a SLES 12 SP1 or later operating system, ensure that you have installed the appropriate set of libraries for a guided installation. For more information, see Installing Identity Manager on SLES 12 SP1 or Later Servers.

  1. To install Designer, see one of the following sections:

  1. Install the rest of the Identity Manager components.
