15.0 Sample OpenText Identity Manager Cluster Deployment Solution

The chapter provides step-by-step instructions on how to configure OpenText eDirectory and OpenText Identity Manager into a supported SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) cluster environment with shared storage and an example of a clustered IOpenText dentity Manager deployment.

For a production-level Linux High Availability (HA) solution with shared storage, implementing a fencing mechanism in the cluster is recommended. Although there are different methods of implementing fencing mechanisms in the cluster, in our example, we use a STONITH resource which uses the Split Brain Detector (SBD).

Figure 15-1 shows a sample cluster deployment solution.
