Group Policy Administrator 6.9.2 Patch Update 1 (GPA 6.9.2.1) resolves specific previous issue. This document outlines why you should install this patch update.

1.0 Installing the Patch Update

Prerequisite: Install GPA 6.9.2 Console before installing GPA 6.9.2.1.

To install GPA 6.9.2.1, perform the following steps on the machines running the GPA Console:

  1. Close all the instances of GPA Console.

  2. Run the GPA_6_9_2_1.EXE file.

2.0 Software Fix

The Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Settings Not Listed in Settings Report

Issue: When a GPO has two or more network profiles for Windows Vista or later, the Wireless Network settings does not list in the settings report. After checking in the GPO, the Wireless Network settings and the option to add a new Wireless Network policy are disabled. (ENG348619)

Fix: The issues with the Wireless Network policy are resolved.

3.1 Merge Utility Disappears on Non-English Operating Systems

Issue: If you use English as your display language in a non-English operating system, the check boxes in the Merge utility is not displayed.

Workaround: Ensure that the display language and the System locale are set to the same language.

3.2 GPA Console Might Crash on Windows 10 French Version

Issue: The GPA Console might crash on a Windows 10 French version, and duplicate nodes are displayed in the Repository when the domain node is refreshed.

Workaround: Reopen the GPA Console.

4.0 Modified Files

GPA 6.9.2.1 modifies the faDBContainerInterface.dll file, which is located at the GPA Installation Path\Bin folder, on the machine running the GPA Console.
