The following sections describe the new features and enhancements in GPA 6.9.2:
The French language is now supported in applicable Windows operating systems.
You can execute the GPAServerConfig command to modify the Export Only, Untrusted Access, and GPA Security accounts, including updating the account passwords.
You can specify the naming convention to be used during the Offline Mirror import when creating ActiveViews, Roles, and Assignments. Also, for upgrading from GPA 6.8.x to GPA 6.9.2 we support user defined naming convention for creating Active Views, Roles and Assignments.
In an ActiveView rule, you can include or exclude a particular scope with the required Inheritance (Objects in Nested Categories or Only GPOs in Category).
In ActiveView, you can view users assigned to an ActiveView.
Events generated by GPA are categorized into task categories and assigned to event IDs so that administrators can easily analyze the logs.
You can search for GPOs in the GPA repository by GPO Name or GUID using the GPO PowerShell Cmdlet: Get-GPRGPOPath
For more information about GPO PowerShell Cmdlet, see the user guide on the Group Policy Administrator documentation Web site.
To install this version, run Setup.exe on each GPA server, GP Repository, and GPA console computer.
For more information about how to install or upgrade GPA, see the user guide on the Group Policy Administrator documentation Web site.
IMPORTANT:GPA now requires the following prerequisite versions:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 or Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package (x86 and x64)
.NET Framework 4.5.2
PowerShell 2.0
ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server
The prerequisite checker installs these updated versions if you select that option.

If you use the English language as your display language in a non-English operating system, the check boxes in the Merge utility will not be displayed.
Workaround: Ensure that the display language and the System locale are set to the same language.
If you specify the custom index path in GPA 6.8.x while upgrading the GPA Server from GPA 6.8.x to GPA 6.9.2, the installer does not detect the custom path and the GPO search is displays incomplete data until the re-index.
Workaround: Copy the index path from the GPA 6.8.x Console domain node and paste the index path in the Index Settings page when upgrading to GPA 6.9.2.
The GPA Console might crash on a Windows 10 operating system if you use the French language and duplicate nodes are displayed in the Repository when the domain node is refreshed.
Workaround: Open the GPA Console again.
