This section applies to changing a business service that was created by importing an existing virtual machine. These business services, referred to as imported business services, are identified in the Deployed Services list by a icon next to their names. For information about changing a business service that was created through the provisioning process, see Section 11.1, Changing a Provisioned Business Service.
You can change the following for an imported business service:
Import additional virtual machines as new workloads.
Remove existing workloads.
All other business service data is locked and cannot be changed.
In the Cloud Manager console, click
, then click .Select the imported business service that you want to change, then click
.Import a virtual machine as a workload for the business service:
Click
to display the Select Virtual Machine dialog box.The dialog box displays a list of virtual machines that have been discovered on hosts residing within your host groups
Select the virtual machine to import, then click
to display the Configure Imported Workload dialog box.On the
tab, specify a name for the workload and select a service level.You cannot change the information on the other workload tabs during import.
Click
to save the workload and add it to the list.Repeat Step 3a through Step 3d to import another workload.
Remove a workload:
Select the workload to remove.
You can Shift-click and Ctrl-click to select multiple workloads.
