1.0 What’s New?

Advanced Authentication 5.6 Patch Update 5 provides the following enhancements and fixes in this release:

1.1 Enhancements

This release introduces the following enhancement:

Provision to Prevent Inactive Endpoint Device Removal and Update of the Last Session of an Endpoint

The Delete old endpoint device and update endpoint last session option has been added in the Replica options policy that allows the Advanced Authentication server to reuse the existing device instead of deleting it and does not update the last session’s login time of the endpoints. This option prevents any new conflicts related to the endpoints.

For more information about the Delete old endpoint device and update endpoint last session option, see Replica options in the Advanced Authentication Installation and Upgrade guide.

1.2 Software Fixes

Advanced Authentication 5.6 Patch Update 5 includes the following software fix:

Unable to Apply Changes for an Event With Hundreds of Endpoints

Issue: In an environment with hundreds or thousands of endpoints, when an administrator tries to create a new event or applies any changes in an existing one, an error Request entity too large is displayed.

Fix: A user interface change has been incorporated in the Administration portal for each event where the administrators can manage endpoints.
