AD Bridge 1.0 includes features for bridging Microsoft Active Directory (AD) on Windows servers with Linux distributions to manage Linux client configurations using Group Policy objects in the AD environment.

The AD Bridge installation consists of two component installations that include a Linux install script package for all Linux client distributions that will be bridged with the AD environment and a Group Policy Management Console snap-in for the Windows domain. During installation of the AD Bridge Linux Agent on a SUSE Linux distribution, the following error displays after entering the password to join the AD domain: “Realm: Couldn't join realm: Enabling SSSD in nsswitch.conf and PAM failed.”
Workaround. None required. The Linux Agent successfully joins the domain.
