This release includes the following enhancements and third-party component updates:
This version of eDirectory contains NICI 3.2.0 which has a different FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography library with an active certificate.
This version of eDirectory supports OpenSSL 1.0.2y.

To upgrade to eDirectory 9.2.4 HF1, you need to be on eDirectory 9.2.4. To upgrade your eDirectory 9.2.4 server to 9.2.4 HF1, perform the following steps based on your platform:
NOTE:When eDirectory 9.2.4 and iManager 3.2.4 are installed on the same machine, you must stop both eDirectory service and iManager tomcat service before upgrade.
Run the following command to stop the eDirectory instance:
ndsmanage stopall
Download and extract the eDirectory-9.2.4-HF1.zip file.
Navigate to the <HF extracted location>/Linux directory.
Run the following command:
rpm -Uvh patterns-edirectory-9.2.4-1.x86_64.rpm nici64-3.2.0-0.x86_64.rpm netiq-openssl-1.0.2y-0.x86_64.rpm
Run the following command to start the eDirectory instance:
ndsmanage startall
Run the following command to stop the eDirectory instance:
ndsmanage stopall
Download eDirectory-9.2.4-HF1.zip and extract the nonroot.tar.gz as a non-root user.
Run the following command to install nici64-3.2.0-0.x86_64.rpm as a root user:
rpm -Uvh nici64-3.2.0-0.x86_64.rpm
As a non-root user, replace the eDirectory/opt/netiq folder with the netiq folder available at eDirectory-9.2.4-HF1/Linux/eDirectory/opt/ directory.
Run the following command to start the eDirectory instance:
ndsmanage startall
Stop the eDirectory instance
Download and extract the eDirectory-9.2.4-HF1.zip file.
Navigate to the <extracted location>\Windows directory.
Copy all the files to the location where eDirectory is installed. For example, C:\NetIQ\eDirectory.
Run NICI_wx64.msi to upgrade NICI to 3.2.0.
NOTE:You should not run the nicicfg.msi file.
Start the eDirectory instance.
Login to the eDirectory container as a root user:
docker exec -it -u root <containername> /bin/bash
Run the following command to stop the eDirectory instance:
ndsmanage stopall
Download and extract the eDirectory-9.2.4-HF1.zip file.
Navigate to the <HF extracted location>/Linux directory.
Run the following command:
rpm -Uvh patterns-edirectory-9.2.4-1.x86_64.rpm nici64-3.2.0-0.x86_64.rpm netiq-openssl-1.0.2y-0.x86_64.rpm
Run the following command to start the eDirectory instance:
ndsmanage startall
Exit from the eDirectory container.
NOTE:
We are shipping a preview version of Docker Container-based deployment with eDirectory 9.2.4 HF1 for customers to use and provide feedback. Customers wishing to deploy in production will be supported only with a Professional Services engagement. You must login as a root user only while upgrading the eDirectory container. Once the upgrade process has been completed, you can login as a non-root user.
