Environment

Change Guardian 4.0
Change Guardian 4.1
Change Guardian 4.2

Situation

Server storage is full and CG is unable to start or run because there are so many .hprof files.
Log to syslog option is selected in event routing and causing issues with the CG Server.
CG Server not triggering events because there is no free space.
Failed Sentinel Action events with no explanation apparent.

Resolution

This is only a problem for installations that were initially installed using CG 4.0 and 4.1.  Change Guardian 4.1.1 and later have all of the non working routing actions removed and no longer available.  If the initial installation was done with CG 4.0 or 4.1 then the following
steps need to be executed on the CG Server to resolve the issue.
1.)  Login to the CG Server
2.)  Run the following command replacing the admin password with the actual admin password in the target environment.
perl "opt/netiq/cg/scripts/cgdb/cg_rm_ev_act.pl" "admin" "[ADMIN_PASSWORD]"
3.) Once the command is run the available options in the routing actions will no longer be available.

Cause

Change Guardian versions 4.0 to 4.1 included routing actions: Log to syslog, Log to file, Send to SNMP trap and Send Events to Sentinel Link
These routing actions should not have been exposed and do not function correctly.  If the initial installation was installed using CG 4.1.1 or later the issue will not exist and is not a problem.
