Situation

While trying to run the Dashboard Configuration Editor (customizer) the following error is presented: "LaunchAnywhere Error: Windows error 2 occured while loading the Java VM".

Resolution

Edit the bin/customizer.lax file and modify the following section to specify the correct path.
 
#   LAX.NL.CURRENT.VM
#   -----------------
#   the VM to use for the next launch
lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jdk1.8.0_144\\jre\\bin\\java.exe

Cause

This issue generally occurs after upgrading JAVA on the Dashboard server.
