Situation

How do I apply or update my NetIQ Secure Configuration Manager (SCM) software license?
How do I apply or update the license key in Secure Configuration Manager (SCM)?
How do I upgrade my SCM license key?
How do I upgrade my trial SCM license key to a permanent SCM license key?

Resolution

To apply or upgrade the SCM license key:
 
  1. Open the Core Services Configuration Utility.
  2. Click the License Keys tab.
  3. Paste the license string in the field for Secure Configuration Manager License Key.  Be careful not to get any extra spaces at the end.  You can also type the string.
  4. Click Apply and OK. 
  5. Restart the Netiq Core Services Service.
