Situation

Error received with SecureLogin:
Unable To Instantiate ScriptBroker Module: <followed by an 8 digit number>

Resolution

In many, if not most, cases the problem causing this error can be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling SecureLogin. Be sure to install as user Administrator.

The above error is returned by the Windows operating system and may or may not indicate a problem with SecureLogin.

Several causes for "Unable To Instantiate Scriptbroker" errors have been addressed with various SecureLogin patches. Make sure you are running the current version of SecureLogin with the current patch set.

If the problem persists after reinstalling with current NSL code, investigate the Windows error. The eight digit number shown after "module" in the error message is the error number returned by the operating system.
