Resolution

fact
NetIQ Group Policy Administrator 5.0

symptom
GPO reports omit Security Zones and Content Ratings information

cause
This is a known issue with Group Policy Administrator 5.0

fix

This issue is addressed in NetIQ Group Policy Administrator version 5.0 Hotfix 52872.

This hotfix addresses an issue where NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) does not display GPO Security Zones and Content Ratings information in several reports:

  • GPO Settings report (in the GP Explorer and GP Repository nodes)
  • GPO Comparison and Difference reports
  • Enterprise Consistency Check report

If you apply settings in a GPO under User Configuration\Windows Settings\Internet Explorer Maintenance\Security\Security Zones and Content Ratings, these reports may not show the settings you applied or may omit the entire Security Zones and Content Ratings section. This hotfix resolves this issue and ensures any settings you apply to Security Zones and Content Ratings in a GPO display in GPO reports.

To install this hotfix, perform the following steps:

  1. Close all GPA user interfaces.
  2. Run the GPA50000_Hotfix52872.exe file on each computer where you installed the GPA Console.

This hotfix modifies the following file:

  • faGPSIeak.dll

By default, this file is located in the Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Administrator\Common\Bin folder.
