Resolution

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.0 SP1

symptom
User Must Change Password at Next Logon' flag is not automatically checked when providing a password for a user account in the 'User Properties' window of the 32 bit GUI.

cause
The 32 bit GUI checked this flag based upon the state of this flag on the user account instead of setting this flag by default as soon as a password is entered.

fix

This issue is addressed in NetIQ Directory and Resource Administrator and Exchange Administrator version 7.0 SP1 Hotfix 43645.

Hotfix 43645 corrects an issue in the user interfaces in which typing a new password for a user account on the User Properties window did not automatically set the User Must Change Password at Next Logon flag. This hotfix sets this flag when a new password is provided for a user account in the User Properties window.

Note: This hotfix requires DRA version 7.0 SP1.

To download and install this hotfix:

  1. Run the DRA70001_Hotfix43645.msi file on on each computer where you installed the DRA user interfaces.

This hotfix modifies the NetIQ.DRA.Console.Accounts.dll on DRA client computers. By default, this file is located in the Program Files\NetIQ\DRA folder.
