To install a license:

1. Copy the license file to a directory on the Utility Console computer.
2. Select Licenses | Add to Console License in the Agent Manager menu.
3. Navigate to your license file, select the file, and then click Open to add the license information to the Utility Console.

note

• Licenses are based on the number of agents that are managed by the Utility Console. The Trial License lets you connect the Utility Console to up to 1,000 agents for one month.
• To connect more than 1,000 agents or to continue using the Utility Console after the trial period, you must obtain a new license from your NetIQ Sales Representative.
• VigilEnt Security Agent for Unix 3.2 license files are not compatible with the VigilEnt Security Agent for Unix 4.0 licensing mechanism. If you have an unexpired VigilEnt Security Agent for Unix 3.2 license, contact your NetIQ Sales Representative to obtain a VigilEnt Security Agent for Unix 4.0 license file.
