Multi-Domain Active Directory Driver 1.1.1.0100 Readme
Overview
This service pack is applicable for Multi-Domain Active Directory drivers running Identity Manager 4.8.x. The driver version will be changed to 1.1.1.0100 after the service pack is applied.
What's New?
- Password sync modification.
- An event for modify-password will not be triggered if the user is present in a different container than the one specified in the Driver GCV configuration.

Upgrading the Driver
The driver upgrade process involves the following tasks:
- Upgrading the driver package
- Updating the driver files
Note: Make sure to update AD Driver to the latest version (4.1.3.0400) along with this patch. For more information, see the Active Directory Driver 4.1.3.0400 Readme.
Upgrading the Driver Packages
- Download the Multi Domain Active Directory Base package:
- Package Name: NETIQMADBASE
- Version: 1.0.4
- Build Date: 20230804
- Build Number: 122504
- Open the project containing the driver.
- Right-click the driver for which you want to upgrade an installed package, then click Driver > Properties.
- Click Packages.
A check mark indicates a newer version of a package in the Upgrades column.
- Click Select Operation for the package that indicates there is an upgrade available.
- From the drop-down list, click Upgrade.
- Select the version that you want to upgrade to, then click OK.
NOTE: Designer lists all versions available for upgrade.
- Click Apply.
- (Conditional) Fill in the fields with appropriate information to upgrade the package, then click Next.
Depending on which package you selected to upgrade, you must fill in the required information to upgrade the package.
- Read the summary of the packages that will be installed, then click Finish.
- Review the upgraded package, then click OK to close the Package Management page.
Updating the Driver Files
- Take a back-up of the current driver configuration.
- Stop the driver and the .NET Remote Loader instance.
- Download and unzip the contents of the IDM_MultiDomainAD_1110100.zip file to a temporary location on your server.
- Update the driver files:
Navigate to <MultiDomain_ADDriver>\windows in the extracted folder and perform one of the following actions for your Identity Manager version:
- Identity Manager 4.8
- Copy the MADWrapper.dll and DXMLMADDriver.dll files to the \RemoteLoader.NET\ folder in your Identity Manager environment.
- Unblock the .dll files that you copied in the last step.
NOTE: Microsoft applies some security restrictions on the files copied to a Windows server which leaves the files in a blocked state. To unblock the files, right-click each file name and open the file with the Properties page and unblock the file.
- Start the .NET Remote Loader instance.
- Start the driver instance.
