An administrator can configure the password policy settings for eDirectory and provide an SSPR proxy user the permission to read the password from eDirectory. During Single Sign-On process or forgotten password, this permission will allow SSPR to provide details on behalf of the user. Also, user is not prompted for entering credentials or setting a temporary password on the user account.
To allow a user to read password by using SSPR proxy user, perform the following:
Login to iManager.
Select Roles and Tasks from the header icons.
Select Passwords > Password Polices.
Click the appropriate password policy.
Click the Universal Password tab, and then click Configuration Options tab.
Enable the Allow the following to retrieve passwords checkbox.
Click Insert and select the SSPR proxy user.
Click OK.
