Known Issues

NetIQ Corporation strives to ensure our products provide quality solutions for your enterprise software needs. The following issues are currently being researched. If you need further assistance with any issue, please contact Technical Support.

WSFed Option in the Access Connector Toolkit Does Not Work

Issue:

The Access Connector Toolkit contains an option for WSFed and it does not work. (778387)

Workaround:

For this release, the Access Connector Toolkit does not support the creation of WS Federation connectors for the SocialAccess appliance.

No Logout Option in the Access Connector Toolkit

Issue:

The Access Connector Toolkit does not contain a logout option, and the session does not time out after a period of inactivity. (789303)

Workaround:

Close the browser after you finish working in the Access Connector Toolkit.

Changing from DHCP to Static IP During the Initialization Causes Errors

Issue:

During the initialization process, changing from DHCP to Static IP can cause an error stating services are unavailable.

Workaround:

Refresh your browser and the message disappears.

The Progress Bar During an Update Does Not Represent the Actual Download Progress

Issue:

During an update, the progress bar is not representative of the actual download progress. For example, if the download is large, the progress bar stays at 2% until the file is downloaded, and then the progress bar jumps to 80%. (792997)

Workaround:

The time to complete an update depends on the size of the download and your Internet connection. It could take over an hour for an update to download. Check the size of the update before starting the download.

reCAPTCHA Does Not Work Until You Restart the Appliance

Issue:

reCAPTCHA does not work until you restart the appliance.

Workaround:

Configure the Connector for eDirectory first and then configure reCAPTCHA. If you configure the Connector for eDirectory is configured first, the appliance does not require a restart. If you configure reCAPTCHA and then configure the Connector for eDirectory, you must restart the appliance. (798623)

The Appliance Does Not Work if DNS Is Misconfigured or Unavailable

Issue:

If DNS servers are unavailable or misconfigured, the appliance does not work properly. For example, if the DNS servers are unavailable or misconfigured during the initialization process, the initialization process fails.

Workaround:

Make sure the DNS servers are available on your network, and that you specify a valid DNS server during the initialization process. If the initialization process fails, delete the VM and start the initialization process again. (798825)

The User Name and Password Field Appears on the Login Page after Deleting the LDAP Identity Source

Issue:

If you configure an LDAP identity source, and then delete the LDAP identity source, the user name and password fields still appear on the login page. If there is not an LDAP identity source configured, the user name and password is an invalid option for a user to select as an authentication option.

Workaround:

Restart the appliance to remove the user name and password fields.

User Authentication Fails but the Health of the Appliance Is Green

Issue:

Appliance health might be green while user authentications fail. Basic network connectivity is working, but the identity source is not available.

Workaround:

If user authentications fail, verify that you can access the social networking site outside of SocialAccess. If you cannot, the social networking site is down and the user authentications will continue to fail until the social networking site is available. (798835)
