This section provides information about upgrading Sentinel and other components.
IMPORTANT:
After upgrading from Sentinel 8.3 or earlier to Sentinel 8.3.1, the existing Kibana custom dashboards will not be displayed. Ensure that you re-create the custom dashboard after upgrading to Sentinel 8.3.1.
If the Set to Expire parameter is not set on partitions before the upgrade, then the option cannot be set on the restored partition after upgrading to Sentinel 8.3.1.
As the upgrade also updates the underlying data formats, existing event data will not be available for Sentinel operations such as search or report functionalities. To enable the data to be searched, you must re-index all event data partitions in the system after the upgrade.
