The Sentinel appliance is a ready-to-run software appliance based on the Micro Focus common appliance framework. The appliance combines a hardened SLES operating system and the Sentinel software integrated update service to provide an easy and seamless user experience that allows you to leverage existing investments. The Sentinel appliance provides a Web-based user interface to configure and monitor the appliance.
Depending on the Sentinel version, the appliance installer installs the certified SLES operating system:
For 8.2, the appliance installer installs SLES 12 SP3.
For 8.2 SP2, the appliance installer installs SLES 12 SP4.
