Sentinel 8.2.0.1 and later are available only on the SLES 12 channel. Therefore, you must upgrade Sentinel to version 8.2 and upgrade the operating system to SLES 12 SP3. After you upgrade the operating system to SLES 12 SP3, you can upgrade Sentinel and update the operating system patches through the Sentinel Appliance Management Console.
To upgrade to version 8.2.0.1 and later:
Upgrade to Sentinel 8.2. For more information, see Upgrading to Sentinel 8.2.
Upgrade the operating system to SLES 12 SP3. For more information, see Upgrading the Operating System.
Launch the Sentinel appliance by doing either of the following:
Log in to Sentinel. Click Sentinel Main > Appliance.
Specify the following URL in your web browser: https://<IP_address>:9443.
Log in as either a vaadmin or a root user.
Click Online Update.
(Conditional) Register for updates if you have not done it earlier. For more information, see Registering for Updates.
To install the displayed updates for Sentinel and the operating system, click Update Now > OK.
To apply the installed updates, click Reboot.
