21.0 Uninstalling Self Service Password Reset Helm deployment

To uninstall the Self Service Password Reset helm deployment present in the Kubernetes cluster, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Self Service Password Reset directory.

  2. Run the following command:

    helm uninstall <release-name>

  3. Make sure that all the pods are terminated. You can check the pod status by running the following command:

    kubectl get pods --namespace <name-of-the-namespace>

  4. The helm uninstall command deletes StatefulSets and pods. It does not delete the PVCs and PVs by default. If you want to retain the data stored in the Persistent Volume Claims (PVC) and Persistent Volumes, (PV) skip Step 5.

  5. (Optional) To delete the PVC and PV, perform the following steps:

    1. Run the following command to list the PVCs in the namespace:

      kubectl get pvc --namespace <namespace>

    2. Run the following command to delete the PVC:

kubectl delete pvc --all --namespace <namespace>

    3. Run the following command to list the PVs:

      kubectl get pv

    4. Run the following command to delete the specific PV:

kubectl delete pv --all --namespace <namespace>

NOTE:Ensure to delete the PVCs before deleting the PVs.

  6. Reboot the Windows Server to complete the uninstall process.

  7. You can reinstall the Self Service Password Reset containers using the helm install command. For more information, see Deploying Self Service Password Reset container on amazon EKS with EC2 instances.
