Issue: After upgrading to Self Service Password Rest (SSPR) 3.2 to 3.3, users are unable to save the challenge responses. The error the users see is Challenge Response Error - The response for question is too commonly used.
The default behavior changed in SSPR 3.3. SSPR applies the wordlist to each challenge response question and does not allow single word responses. The global option for applying the wordlist does not exist any more.
Solution: Perform the following steps to stop the error from appearing to users:
To deselect the Apply Wordlist option:
From the Home page, click Configuration Editor > Policies > Challenge Policies.
Select the default policy or any custom policy you have created.
In the Random Questions panel, click in the Default Locale section.
Deselect Apply Wordlist to allow single word responses for the random questions.
Click OK to save the changes.
