Description

Log Manager for Blue Coat ProxySG collects data you configure the Blue Coat ProxySG device to send to the Windows agent. Collected events are stored in secure repositories for archiving, reporting, and analysis.

Installation Requirements

The following table lists additional requirements for a Windows agent monitoring Blue Coat ProxySG. For more information about agent requirements, see the Installation Guide for Security Manager.

Processor 1.5 GHz Intel Pentium III or equivalent.
Memory 40 MB minimum. The amount of memory usage varies and depends on the environment, including event rate and other factors. Memory use for a Windows agent monitoring Blue Coat ProxySG could reach 256 MB or higher.
Operating System All supported Windows agent platforms.
Software
  • Ensure you have Security Manager 6.0 Service Pack 2 or later installed.
  • Ensure you have Security Manager Self-monitoring 6.00.1.4 or later installed.
  • Install the Windows agent with Blue Coat ProxySG support on a separate computer from the database server or central computer.
  • Ensure you have a supported version Blue Coat SGOS installed.
  • A Windows agent must be installed for each Blue Coat ProxySG product you want to monitor.

Installation and Configuration Considerations

You can install this module using the Module Installer. After you install the module, configure it by setting an environment variable on each Windows agent computer.
