If you use Sentinel to monitor Oracle on UNIX or Linux, you must use UNIX Agent Manager to register the Oracle database and specify an account with access to read the table and views.
To register the Oracle database and specify an account with permission to read the table and views:
Start UNIX Agent Manager using an account that has permission to read the Oracle database that you want to monitor.
Go to Configure > Sentinel Options.
Select the host with the Oracle database you want to monitor.
Click Manage Oracle Endpoints > Add.
Specify the following fields under Instance Configuration:
User Name: Enter the Oracle user name that has Database Administrator (DBA) permissions.
Password: Enter the password of DBA user.
Click Register Endpoints.
