NetIQ SecureLogin 8.8 Service Pack 1 Patch 2 Release Notes

March 2022

This patch release includes a fix for CVE-2022-0778 vulnerability. This patch is supported for the 8.8.1.2 client version of the product and not applicable to the server version of the product.

NOTE:With this release, the patch release naming convention is updated. This patch is named NetIQSecureLogin-8.8.1.200 which reads as 8.8 Service Pack 1 Patch 2. This is done to allow future Hotfix releases on top of an existing patch. For example, if a Hotfix is released on top of this patch in the future, it will be named NetIQSecureLogin-8.8.1.201, that is, 8.8 Service Pack 1 Patch 2 Hotfix 1.

1.0 Security Vulnerability Fixes

This release provides a fix for CVE 2022-0778, OpenSSL vulnerability issue.

2.0 Installing or Upgrading

You can either upgrade from the previous versions of SecureLogin or perform a new installation. For information about how to install and how to upgrade, see SecureLogin Installation Guide.

3.0 Supported Upgrade Paths

To apply NetIQ SecureLogin 8.8.1 Patch 2, NetIQ SecureLogin 8.8.1 is required.

To upgrade to NetIQ SecureLogin 8.8.1 Patch 2, you must be on one of the following versions of NetIQ SecureLogin:

  • 8.8.1

  • 8.8.1 Patch 1
