NetIQ SecureLogin 8.6 Hotfix 1 Release Notes

NetIQ SecureLogin 8.6 Hotfix 1 (8.6.0.1) resolves some of the previous issues.

These improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. We thank you for your time and valuable input. 1.0 What’s New?

This release includes fixes for the following issues:

1.1 Seamless Sign-on Fails In The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Offline Mode

Issue: When SecureLogin is installed in the LDAP Credential Manager mode, seamless sign-on fails if network is unavailable. (Bug 1053178)

Fix: This issue is fixed in this release.

1.2 SecureLogin Displays Error Message When Runtime Variables Are Accessed

Issue: When SecureLogin accesses the runtime variables that are not configured, the BROKER_NO_SUCH_ENTRY -102 error message is displayed. (Bug 1090248)

Fix: This issue is fixed in this release.

1.3 SecureLogin Displays Error Message When Increment Command Is Used

Issue: When SecureLogin uses a single sign-on script and the Increment command is used to increase the value of a variable, the BROKER_NO_SUCH_ENTRY -102 error message is displayed. This issue occurs when the Increment command is used more than once for the same variable. (Bug 1095191)

Fix: This issue is fixed in this release.

1.4 Internet Explorer Stops Working When Single Sign-on Script Uses Directory Attribute Variables

Issue: When SecureLogin uses a single sign-on script to provide single sign-on to a web application, Internet Explorer stops working. SecureLogin displays the following errors: (Bug 1095187)

  1. BROKER_NO_SUCH_ENTRY(-102) Error reading attribute "displayName"

  2. BROKER_DS_VARIABLE_NOT_READY(-180)

Fix: This issue is fixed in this release.

1.5 SecureLogin Fails To Start When ActiveClient 7.x Is Installed

Issue: When SecureLogin is installed with ActiveClient 7.x, SecureLogin fails to start because the slbroker.exe service stops working. (Bug 1068058)

Fix: This issue is fixed in this release. If you are using One Time Password feature, set the registries as specified in the One Time Password section in NetIQ SecureLogin Administration Guide.

3.0 Installing or Upgrading

You can upgrade to SecureLogin 8.6 HotFix 1 only from SecureLogin 8.6. Upgrading to SecureLogin 8.6 HotFix 1 from versions other than SecureLogin 8.6 is not supported. For information about how to install and how to upgrade, see NetIQ SecureLogin Installation Guide.
