10.1 Microsoft IIS Endpoint Deployment Checklist

Complete the following steps to deploy your Microsoft IIS endpoints.

 

Checklist Items

  1. Ensure that the Windows agent version supports the Microsoft IIS endpoints that you want to manage. For more information, see the NetIQ Secure Configuration Manager Technical Information web page.

  1. Ensure that your environment meets the specified requirements for installing the Windows agent and the IIS component. For more information, see Windows Agent Computer Requirements and Planning Microsoft IIS Endpoint Deployment.

  1. Install the Windows agent locally or deploy to remote agent computers, including the IIS component if you are installing the Windows agent manually. For more information, see Section 8.0, Installing or Updating an Agent on a Local Computer and Section 7.0, Installing or Updating Agents on Remote Computers.

  1. Add the IIS endpoints that you want to manage to the registered Windows agent. For more information, see Adding IIS Endpoints in Secure Configuration Manager.
