Based on a policy template run, Secure Configuration Manager can predict the regulations, standards, and benchmarks that the currently assessed endpoints might fail. Being able to predict vulnerability and compliance issues can help you reduce the number of policy templates that you must run to assess your assets.
The prediction includes the following information for the specified endpoint:
The regulations, standards, and benchmarks that might be affected.
Number of policy templates that might be affected.
Percent and number of security checks affected in all potential policy template runs.
Details about the affected security checks so you can determine whether those security checks are worth acting upon. If a security check is not important to the endpoint, you can create exceptions for the assessment.
To predict an endpoint’s vulnerability and compliance issues:
In the report, click Vulnerability & Compliance Prediction.
Select the Endpoint that you want Secure Configuration Manager to check for potential failures in other standards, regulations, and benchmarks.
