21.0 Editing an Exception

You must have specific permissions to perform this function. For more information, speak to the Secure Configuration Manager administrator.

On occasion, you might need to modify an existing exception, such as its effective dates or reason. Alternatively, you might need to change the security checks or endpoints in an existing exception rather than creating a new exception. For example, the Web console notified you that you were creating an exception similar to an existing one, so you chose to edit the existing exception.

When you edit an approved exception, it must be approved again before you can apply your updates. Until the edited exception is approved, Secure Configuration Manager continues to apply the original exception, unless it is no longer in effect.

For more information about exceptions, see the NetIQ Secure Configuration Manager documentation.
