A.1 Lightweight UNIX Solution Checklist

The following checklist provides an overview of how to obtain data and run a security check for a Lightweight UNIX computer.

	Run the data collection script on the Lightweight UNIX computer you want to audit. See Running the Data Collection Script.
	Transfer the Lightweight UNIX data files to a UNIX agent computer.See Transferring the Data Files.
	Install the Lightweight UNIX data files on the UNIX agent computer. See Installing the Data Files.
	Create a Lightweight UNIX endpoint on the UNIX agent computer in Secure Configuration Manager. See Managing Your Endpoints.
	Run a security check on the Lightweight UNIX endpoint. See Understanding Security Checks.

After setting up the endpoint, you can repeat the first three steps in the checklist to provide current data for reports. You can collect, transfer, and install data as often as you want, as long as you install the data files to the same UNIX agent computer each time. If you change the UNIX agent computer where you install the data files, you must set up a new Lightweight UNIX endpoint in Secure Configuration Manager.
