1.2 Understanding the Secure Configuration Manager Architecture

You can install the Secure Configuration Manager components on separate servers. When planning where to install the components, refer to the following architecture diagram.

The UNIX and Windows security agents have individual installation programs. However, when you install Secure Configuration Manager, the setup program automatically installs a Windows agent on the Core Services computer. You can install the Secure Configuration Manager Dashboard either along with Secure Configuration Manager, or separately.
