17.5 Migrating Enterprise Credential Vault Objects to LDAP Datastore

You can migrate the Enterprise Credential Vault Objects stored in the local SQLite database to any LDAP datastore configured in Privileged Account Manager. When you migrate the Enterprise Credential Vault Objects to a LDAP data store, the details such as Account Domain objects, Domain credentials, Shared Key Domain, and the corresponding shared keys are migrated.

Prerequisites

  • Extend the LDAP directory schema to support the Enterprise Credential Vault objects. For information about extending the schema, see Extending the LDAP Directory Schema.

  • Configure the LDAP directory in Privileged Account Manager to store the Enterprise Credential Vault objects. For information about how to add a LDAP data store, see Adding a Datastore.

To migrate the Enterprise Credential Vault Objects to the LDAP datastore, perform the following steps:

  1. On the home page of the console, click Enterprise Credential Vault.

  2. In the left pane, click Datastore.

  3. In the middle pane, click Settings.

  4. In the right pane, click Migrate. A warning message is displayed.

  5. Click Migrate to confirm the migration of Enterprise Credential Vault objects. This migration process runs in the background and displays a Migration Successful message after migrating all the objects.

Migration time is depending on the number of objects migrated. You can verify the migrated objects in the external data store or in the Enterprise Credential Vault console.
