  1. Install and configure NAM on a supported platform. For the list of supported platforms, see the NetIQ Access Manager 5.1 System Requirements Guide.

  2. Install and configure Privileged Access Manager on a supported platform. For the list of supported platforms, see the Privileged Access Manager 4.5 System Requirements and Sizing Guidelines.

  3. Ensure that you have administrator privileges in NAM.

To integrate Privileged Access Manager with NAM:

  1. Create a protected resource in Access Manager for Privileged Access Manager (for example, www.Privileged Access Manager.com) and a policy for injecting headers X_PUM_ADMIN and X_PUM_PASSWD. For more information, see the NetIQ Access Manager 5.1 Administration Guide.

  2. Specify the following values in the policy:

    • Specify any Privileged Access Manager user for X_PUM_ADMIN.

    • Specify the Privileged Access Manager user password for X_PUM_PASSWD.

After you have integrated Privileged Access Manager with NAM, type the following URL in a browser to access Privileged Access Manager:
