Use this procedure to upgrade your PlateSpin Forge product from version 3.x to version 4.0.
On the PlateSpin Forge Management VM, run PlateSpinForgeSetup-4.0.0.1231.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.
HINT:In some situations the installation program might fail to automatically re-import data that it exports during the upgrade process. If this happens, use the PlateSpin.ImportExport.bat utility to recover this data from the following directory on your server host:
Windows Server 2003 Systems: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PlateSpin
HINT:If all the jobs are in the paused state, the validation may launch the Running Jobs Detected dialog box. This is due to some jobs being aborted and not correctly detecting that condition. You need to pause all replications and wait for all operations to complete or abort the running operations. Then, in the dialog box, select Yes - Proceed with installation, then click Next.
