To upgrade PlateSpin Recon, follow the instructions in Section 1.2, Installing PlateSpin Recon, paying special attention to the upgrade information.
If you customize reports prior to performing an upgrade, you might see duplicate names in the list of report templates in the Report Explorer. This is to prevent your custom information from being deleted during an upgrade.
Depending on the result of the upgrade, do the following:
If the upgrade is successful, continue with Section 2.4, Post-Upgrade Task.
If the upgrade fails and you want to use the PlateSpin database, manually restore the database. For more information on how to restore the PlateSpin database, refer to Knowledge Base article Q7921000.
